A.R.M. Solutions Selected as the Exclusive Collection Provider for GMS
A.R.M. Solutions and General Monitoring Services, Inc (GMS) announces an alliance partnership and the launch of their Dealer Collection Program. GMS monitors fire and burglar events, as well as monitoring radio and cellular backups, elevator and pool phones, PERS (Personal Emergency Response Systems), Two-way monitoring, Video, GPS tracking and AES-IntelliNet Radio. GMS has been exceeding customer expectations, one client at a time, since 1971.
A.R.M. Solutions specializes in the alarm industry and offers their flat fee collection program to promote client retention and retrain the slow paying customer base. A.R.M. understands the cost of gaining new customers rather than keeping the existing ones. “Our flat fee collection service is very cost effective, the fee is the same no matter the size of the balance.” More importantly each account receives the same consistent treatment, unlike a traditional agency who focuses on the higher balances. “Within the alarm industry, we see a lot of lower balances amongst a large number of accounts. In addition to the partnership, ARM Solutions will be offering GMS dealers an educational course on “Best Practices in Collections.” Training companies on their accounts receivables policies and procedures will help to limit the number of accounts that go past due. “Gathering the right amount of information at the time of the sale is the key to collecting on accounts”, says Paul Ferro, Operations Manager at A.R.M. Solutions. “Customers will be happy to give you their complete contact information when signing up for your services, not when they are 60 or 90 days past due” adds Paul. Establishing and implementing an accounts receivable process is key especially during a tough economy. Companies need to be careful on who they are extending credit to, and when to start putting the right amount of pressure on their slow and non paying customers.

General Monitoring Services, was founded by Joseph Chetta in 1971, under the name General Security Systems (GSS). In 1987 GSS decided that it was time to open their own central station and began by monitoring only their accounts.
